Surgical Infrastructure: Purpose-Built for Specialized Care

King Faisal Hospital Rwanda is equipped with 11 fully functional Operating Rooms (ORs), each designed to support specific types of procedures for optimal efficiency and safety:

• 2 Maternity ORs for obstetric and gynecologic procedures, including C-sections and high-risk deliveries
• 1 Pediatric OR designed specifically for surgeries in children, with equipment and monitoring tailored to young patients
• 1 Neurosurgery OR featuring advanced neuro-navigation systems for precision brain and spine surgeries
• 1 Cardiac OR dedicated to cardiothoracic surgeries, including open-heart procedures
• 2 Endoscopy ORs for minimally invasive gastrointestinal and urological procedures
• 2 Minor Procedure Rooms located within the GI and Day Surgery block for low-risk or outpatient cases
• 2 General ORs supporting a wide range of surgeries, including general, orthopedic, ENT, and others
