King Faisal Hospital Kigali is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position

Operator                                EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. He/she must have Minimum an Advanced Certificate (A2).
2. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a hospital setting  
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Deep knowledge of work processes and/or procedures such as daily patient care tasks, planning, and organization
2. Basic computer knowledge.
3. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
4. Disposition, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, cooperation, and sincerity as they affect fellow workers and others.
5. Makes clients and their needs a primary focus of work and actions. This includes clients that are both internal and external to the Hospital.
6. Gives out information and ideas clearly and concisely, including the requirement to inform and persuade.
1. Awareness of the business of the Hospital , the main role players and heads of the departments.
2. Awareness of all clinics and Out-Patient time tables and the arrangements for making bookings for appointments, to have X-rays done and the processes required to have bloods drawn at Laboratory before attending the OPD appointment.
3. Awareness of office hours for Accounts, Billings etc. Awareness of the Visitors policy , visiting hours, for the general wards and the Critical Care Units if this is different
4. Able to remain calm regardless of the manner of the person telephoning.
5. Awareness of the hospital policy for  handling difficult situations, the Media, large groups e.g. after bus accident or other incident Maintain a schedule of queries received and assistance rendered, especially where the call has been referred to the supervisor for handling
6. Maintain a schedule of calls outbound to firms or manufacturers where the Hospital is negotiating business
7. Ability to answer queries relating to medical aid and medical insurance Awareness of the Hospital Compliant Procedure
8. Maintain a schedule, data base of all incoming complaints
9. Log copies of e-mails/ faxes  containing complaints before redirecting these to the PRO.
10. Continue to follow up with calls waiting for a specific person Follow up  SMS’s  that are sent to remind personnel of meetings, starting of lectures, starting of OPD clinics etc.,
11. Monitor that  the paging system is functioning correctly throughout the hospital
12. Monitor the number and length of all outbound calls for  the necessity of the calls especially in terms of the recurrent expense 13. A good general knowledge of the geographical location of the Hospital as well as the departments within the hospital and the ability to direct people clearly over the telephone
