1.Laboratory Technologist	EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE   1. The qualified Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (A0) level in Laboratory Technology from a recognized University 2. Must have a minimum of 3 years in related field in the Hospital setting 3. Must be registered with relevant professional health body with a valid license to practice 3. Having training in cytology is an added advantage; SKILLS AND ABILITIES   1. He/she should have extensive knowledge in molecular biotechnology; 2. He/she should have knowledge in Biochemistry, Haematology, Histopathology, serology and Microbiology services. 3. Effective communication and customer care skills 4.Knowledge of the hospital regulatory, legislative and financial management regulatory frame work. 5. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 6. Ability to work in a team	1. Conduct clinical laboratory analysis of all human specimens. 2. Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results; 3. Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis 4. Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage 5. Process specimens and report results in a timely and efficient manor 6. Establish and monitor programs to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results 7. Receive specimens of tissue and cells, and ensure proper accessioning and labeling of all histology and cytology samples 8. Process paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting 9. Prepare tissue specimens for histopathology processing 10. Helps maintain acceptable productivity, TAT and workflow 11. Reports problems concerning individual cases, tests, equipment, and supplies to the head of department to ensure timely resolution 12. Responds promptly to pathologists, technologists, and administrative requests 13. Demonstrate initiative in making suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity and provides consistent feedback 14.
