Dr. Mahlet Tesfaye is a highly skilled thoracic surgeon with specialized expertise in the surgical management of diseases affecting the lungs, esophagus, and chest. She is committed to providing advanced, patient-centered surgical care while contributing to the continuous advancement of thoracic services.

Dr. Tesfaye completed her General Surgery residency and subsequently pursued subspecialty training in thoracic Surgery at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, where she acquired comprehensive expertise in managing a broad range of complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.

Before joining King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, Dr. Tesfaye served as a Consultant thoracic Surgeon at Black Lion Specialized Hospital, Addis Ababa University, one of Ethiopia's leading tertiary referral and teaching hospitals. In this role, she was actively involved in the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and postoperative management of patients with complex thoracic conditions while also contributing to the training and mentorship of surgical residents and medical students..

At King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, Dr. Tesfaye provides comprehensive thoracic surgical care, offering evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient's needs. Her clinical interests include adult thoracic surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and the multidisciplinary management of complex thoracic diseases.
