About Me:

Dr. Gakindi is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, where he has been providing specialized women's healthcare since August 2012. With over 14 years of clinical experience, he is widely recognized for his expertise in managing complex obstetric and gynecological conditions, delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across all stages of a woman's reproductive life.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gakindi has developed extensive expertise in the management of high-risk pregnancies, comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care, advanced gynecological surgery, and obstetric emergencies. He is committed to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through timely interventions, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the application of international best practices. His clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecological surgery, the management of complex gynecological disorders, reproductive health, and emergency obstetric care.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Gakindi is passionate about advancing women's health through medical education, mentorship, and professional development. As a senior consultant, he plays an integral role in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents, sharing both his clinical expertise and his philosophy of compassionate patient care. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the National University of Rwanda before pursuing postgraduate specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology, earning a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the same institution. His advanced training has equipped him with comprehensive expertise in both routine and highly specialized obstetric and gynecological care.
