Dr. Innocenti Dadamessi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, and Interventional Endoscopist. He is an experienced specialist with extensive expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of digestive and liver diseases, as well as advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
With a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare capacity building, Dr. Dadamessi is recognized for his contributions to advancing gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy services across Africa. His clinical interests include digestive oncology, hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer prevention, pancreaticobiliary diseases, and the management of complex gastrointestinal disorders. At King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, Dr. Dadamessi has played a key role in strengthening advanced endoscopy services and promoting minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He has contributed significantly to the development of endoscopic care and specialist training programs, helping improve access to high-quality digestive healthcare in Rwanda and the region. A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Dadamessi is actively involved in training healthcare professionals across Africa. He regularly leads and facilitates regional and international training programs in digestive endoscopy, patient safety, and endoscopy nursing. Through collaborations with leading professional societies and global healthcare organizations, he has supported initiatives aimed at standardizing endoscopy practice and strengthening healthcare workforce capacity throughout the continent. In addition to his clinical and educational roles, Dr. Dadamessi is actively engaged in professional conferences, research, and international collaborations focused on advancing digestive health, endoscopy innovation, and cancer prevention. His work reflects a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes through clinical excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
