Customer Care Officer
King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda, a center of excellence in health service provision, clinical education, and research. We are looking for suitable candidates to fill the following positions.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointment scheduling accurately in the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
- Ensure patients are booked with the appropriate doctors and clinics based on their needs.
- Maintain constant communication with patients, other customer care staff, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow through the department and proactively inform patients of any anticipated delays.
- Log and track all patient complaints and feedback to identify bottlenecks and service gaps for corrective action.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the functions and operations of all hospital departments.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of hospital policies and procedures governing access to care.
- Conduct proper patient orientation and guide patients within the hospital facility.
- Participate in patient waiting time surveys and service improvement initiatives.
- Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies and procedures.
- Participate in the patient satisfaction survey, as well as the annual fire, emergency evacuation, and safety drills for patients and personnel.
Education and Experience
- He/she must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or any related field
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Hospitality Management, preferably in hospital settings
Skills and Abilities
- Deep knowledge of work processes and/or procedures such as daily patient care tasks, planning, and organization
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Disposition, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, cooperation, and sincerity as they affect fellow workers and others.
- Makes clients and their needs a primary focus of work and actions. This includes clients that are both internal and external to the Hospital.
- Gives out information and ideas clearly and concisely, including the requirement to inform and persuade.
