Mr. Mutabazi Leonidas Eric is a Senior Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSc PT) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is currently a PhD candidate in Rehabilitation Sciences at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Health Sciences, University of Rwanda. He is a registered professional with the Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC), reflecting his commitment to regulatory standards, ethical practice, and continuous professional development in physiotherapy. With extensive clinical expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Mr. Eric has practiced in tertiary hospital settings for a decade, where he managed complex orthopedic, sports, and post-surgical rehabilitation cases. His evidence-informed approach integrates advanced assessment techniques, individualized therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and functional rehabilitation strategies aimed at optimizing patient outcomes and restoring participation. His clinical practice is grounded in scientific rigor, quality improvement, and patient-centered care. As Head of Rehabilitation Services at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, Mr. Eric has demonstrated strong leadership in advancing multidisciplinary rehabilitation services aligned with Rwanda’s national health priorities. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening interprofessional collaboration and service delivery standards. In addition, he actively supervises physiotherapy students and interns from national and international institutions, contributing to capacity building, mentorship, and the advancement of rehabilitation education in the region.
