Dr. Arlène Ndayisenga is a Consultant General Neurologist at King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda, specializing in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of neurological conditions. Her clinical expertise includes treating epilepsy, chronic headaches, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and various forms of dementia. Dr. Ndayisenga earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Rwanda in 2012. She began her medical journey at the Neuropsychiatric Hospital of Ndera in Kigali, where she developed a deep interest in neurology. In 2017, she was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) to pursue specialized neurology training at the WFN Training Center at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal. Her four-year training included intensive inpatient neurology, neurophysiology (EEG and EMG), neuroimaging, psychiatry, and outpatient care—sharpening her skills in both acute and chronic neurological disorders. Dr. Ndayisenga brings to King Faisal Hospital a rich blend of clinical knowledge, international training, and a patient-centered approach to care. She is one of the few neurologists in Rwanda and is committed to advancing neurological services and improving patient outcomes across the
region.
