Dr. Alsayed Abdehay is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda, with extensive expertise in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. He is internationally trained and holds a Doctor of Medicine in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from Cairo University, where he also served as a lecturer in interventional radiology. Dr. Abdehay brings specialized skills in advanced image-guided diagnostics and therapeutic procedures, including vascular interventions, interventional spine procedures, and a wide range of non-vascular treatments. His approach focuses on precision, reduced patient recovery times, and enhancing overall outcomes through minimally invasive techniques. In addition to his clinical role at KFH, Dr. Abdehay serves as the Program Director and Coordinator of the Rwanda Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program under the Rwanda Interventional Radiology Initiative (RIRI). Through this role, he is actively shaping the future of interventional radiology in Rwanda by mentoring and training the next generation of radiologists. His dual focus on high-impact clinical care and capacity building makes him a key figure in the advancement of interventional radiology both at King Faisal Hospital and nationally.
