Dr. Laurent Gamy Kamunga Badibanga

About Me:

Dr. Laurent Gamy is an experienced professional in the field of emergency medicine and critical care at King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda. He holds a Master's in Medicine (Mmed) in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care from the University of Rwanda. He also has a bachelor's degree with honors in Medicine after a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Before that, he was a resident in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at the University of Rwanda. He has also previously worked in various medical roles in Emergency and Critical Care settings, including as a humanitarian in an international NGO and as a clinician at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK).

Dr. Laurent has completed several specialized trainings in Emergency Medicine, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, WHO Basic Emergency courses, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Emergency Ultrasound, Trauma Care, and Quality Improvement in hospital settings. He has held many leadership roles. He is also actively involved in the education of residents and undergraduate students and the development of the Emergency and Critical Care department. Currently, he is the education coordinator in the department of Emergency and Critical Care at Africa Health Science University (AHSU)
