About Me:
Dr Jocelyne Bukeyeneza is a senior consultant pediatrician with a sub-speciality training in Newborn Medicine (Neonatology) currently practicing at King Faisal Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as Neonatologist. She earned her Doctorate Degree in General Medicine in 2012 and completed her specialization in General Pediatrics in 2017 at University of Rwanda. Her expertise was further strengthened in the subspeciality of Newborn Medicine/Neonatology and was certified by McGill and McMaster University in Canada .
Dr Jocelyne has served in various Rwandan and North America (Canada) Hospital settings where she provided advanced care in Pediatrics and managed sick term and preterm newborn in Intensive Care Unit. Her contribution as chief of clinical fellows and member of the Wellness committee granted her recognition from University of McMaster in 2023. She is an active member of Newborn Brain Society, Rwanda Pediatric Association, Member of Academic Standards and Curriculum Review Committee at AHSU (Africa Health Science University) as well as Vice- Chair IRB-AHSU .
Dr Jocelyne is highly committed to save babies' lives and follow up with them beyond the Intensive care unit and why not in the community through timely early detection and interventions for their long-term outcome. She is also contributing to Residency & fellows’ education, advocacy and research/Quality Improvement care .
