Dr. Claude Gakumba is a Senior Consultant Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda, with more than a decade of advanced clinical experience. He specializes in delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia for patients across all age groups—including newborns, children, adults, and expectant mothers—and provides expert care for critically ill patients in intensive care units.
His expertise includes:• General, regional, pediatric, and obstetric anesthesia
• Advanced pain management and post-operative care
• Critical care medicine and life support in ICU settings
• International experience with intensive care units in India and Canada Dr. Gakumba also has a strong background in perioperative patient monitoring and resuscitation, contributing significantly to surgical outcomes and critical care pathways. Education & Training:
• Postdoctoral Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine, Christian Medical College, Vellore, India (2015–2016)
• Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology, University of Rwanda (2008–2012)
