| House Keeper | EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. He/she must have Minimum an Advanced Certificate (A2). 2. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a hospital setting SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1. Knowledge of work procedures, safety, planning and organization 2. Ability to operate machinery and equipment 3. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. 4. Extreme patience and the ability to think and work under stress. 5. Good deductive and reasoning skills. Job knowledge & skill 6. Cooperation Communication 7. Client service focus | 1. Room’s equipment appropriately utilized to ensure ongoing performance over its useful life. 2. Manuals for all equipment easily available 3. Knowledgeable about the loading and the chemicals used in cleaning, and of all other pieces of equipment. 4. Equipment safeguarded in line with asset management requirements, as determined during the annual asset stocktaking. 5. Knowledgeable about the Infection Prevention and Control of Infections Policy and Procedures to be followed 6. Knowledgeable about the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures pertinent to the catering division 7. Strict enforcement of the PPE Policy Day to day issues and problems resolved, including management of complaints, in accordance with Hospital standards. 8. Monitoring of all cleaning processes to ensure a high level of hygiene 9. Monitoring the health of the personnel to prevention contamination of the cleaning equipment’s 10. Pre-planned service for all pieces of equipment to prevent mechanical failure Cleaning Materials stock levels controlled and maintained. 11. Evidence of compliance with the cleaning schedule for weekly and monthly cleaning of specified articles over and above cleaning of preparation surfaces 12. First in First out (FIFO) rotational systems maintained 13. Data base of all inspection performed to ensure nothing is stored directly on the floor 14. Regular inspections of smoke and burglar alarms | 1 |
