Dr. Abiy Ephrem Woldemariam is a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, recognized for his expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. With extensive experience in clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and academic medicine, he is committed to advancing cardiac care through innovation, research, and patient-centered practice.

Dr. Abiy has built a distinguished career dedicated to improving cardiovascular health and expanding access to advanced cardiac services in Africa. He has been actively involved in the development of interventional cardiology services and has contributed significantly to the management of complex cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, valvular heart disease, and cardiac emergencies. His expertise includes coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), cardiac catheterization, and the comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abiy has combined clinical excellence with a strong commitment to medical education and research. Prior to joining King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, he was involved in academic and clinical practice in Ethiopia, where he contributed to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine through patient care, training, and research initiatives.
