Dr. Dorcas Uwimpuhwe

About Me:

Dr. Dorcas Uwimpuhwe is a Medical Doctor at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare through evidence-based clinical practice and compassionate care. She is committed to improving patient outcomes through comprehensive medical management, preventive healthcare, and continuous professional development.

Dr. Uwimpuhwe earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Rwanda. Since completing her medical training, she has gained valuable experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions while working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Prior to joining King Faisal Hospital Rwanda, Dr. Uwimpuhwe served as a Junior General Practitioner at Remera Rukoma District Hospital in Kamonyi District, where she provided comprehensive clinical care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In this role, she was involved in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, patient follow-up, emergency care, and health promotion activities.

She also completed her medical internship at Kibungo Level Two Teaching Hospital, where she rotated through various clinical specialties and gained extensive hands-on experience in patient care. During her internship, she actively participated in daily inpatient ward rounds, patient follow-up, outpatient consultations, and multidisciplinary case management, strengthening her clinical skills and professional competence.

Dr. Uwimpuhwe is passionate about delivering holistic healthcare that prioritizes patient safety, dignity, and well-being. She continues to advance her knowledge and skills through ongoing learning and collaboration with colleagues across different specialties, contributing to the delivery of world-class healthcare services at King Faisal Hospital Rwanda.
