Head of Department, Continuous Quality Improvement. | EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE He/ She must have a Tertiary qualification in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or other Health care related fields with a Master’s degree. He/ She must have Evidence of structured professional development. He/ She must have 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in Health care quality improvement management. Registration with a relevant professional body when applicable. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proven competencies in developing and implementing strategy, business planning, and project management. Analytical skills for performing service development reviews, problem-solving, and relation to targets and finance.excellent computer skillsExcellent, verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAble to work under extreme stress. | Formulate all profiles for all posts within the department. Conducts meetings with internal staff and plan and assign work within the relevant. Compile the annual operational plan. Conduct performance appraisals with department staff and arrange and monitor individual development. Maintain and safeguard all financial statements for each financial year. Compile and submit all reports, returns, notices, and other information as may be required by the head of the directorate. Manage the service’s budget and cash flow Provides leadership for all leaders and managerial personnel who participate in the design, execution, and implementation of quality management and improvement program. Coordinate hospital accreditation standards, policy, and regulatory affairs initiatives in collaboration with the line Director. Drives the quality management and improvement program so that it reflects the scope of service delivery in relation to standard/indicator development, monitoring and evaluation, and remedial action. Drives the implementation of relevant and appropriate quality management and improvement reporting and communication systems. Drives the communication of information on the program to all personnel on an agreed regular basis. Implement monthly audits of agreed indicators. Drives the process whereby critical clinical indicators are selected in alignment with national and international norms and standards. Participates in the establishment of a suitable IT system to collect, Collate, and analyze critical clinical and non-clinical indicators & identify potential improvements. Ensures quality and completeness of patient records Ensures sustained improvements. Set in place a mechanism that addresses deficits promptly. Coordinates the implementation of all monitoring and evaluation processes that insure patients’ physical and clinical safety of personnel and the public | 1 |
