Occupational Therapist<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>&nbsp;</td><td><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong><br>• He/she must have Bachelor’s degree (A0) in Occupational Therapist.<br>• He/she should have a Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Complex Hospital<br>• He/she must have Experience in Occupational Therapy Practice<br>Having worked with neuro occupational therapy services (Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy etc.) is an added value<br>• Requires appropriate qualification plus registration with Health Professions Council of Rwanda as an Occupational Therapist <br><strong>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong><br>•Willing and able to deliver services effectively and efficiently in order to meet client requirements.<br>•Teaching &amp; management skills is an added advantage<br>•Knowledge of health &amp; safety standards and requirements is an added advantage<br>•Excellent written and oral communication skills<br>•Able to analyze detailed information<br>•Ability to work in a team </td><td>•Assess and demonstrate a clear understanding of the impact of reduced physical movement and mobility on patients’ functional performance, independence, and quality of life.<br>•Apply expert knowledge of appropriate ranges of motion, body mechanics, and physical orientation in relation to both animate and inanimate objects to support safe and effective patient functioning.<br>•Plan and implement corrective and therapeutic interventions aimed at alleviating pain, reducing discomfort, and improving restricted movement in patients.<br>•Identify conditions or practices that may contribute to an unsafe environment for patients or staff, and promptly report such risks to the Director of Patient and Allied Medical Services (PAMs) in accordance with hospital safety and risk management procedures.<br>•Practice strictly within the scope of practice for Occupational Therapists in Rwanda, and support the monitoring of occupational therapy services within the hospital to ensure the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care.<br>•Adhere to and actively participate in peer review and credentialing processes as required by the relevant Professional Body and hospital regulations.<br>•Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in line with established occupational therapy assessment guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation and individualized treatment planning.</td><td><strong>2</strong></td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
